- But how does it work. Who takes the phone and says: "Now we make a new album."

- It's a comeback every time for us. After each album, we think that "now we can stand at least not more". But then it starts to grow a little again later. It took quite a long time before this came.
Morten and Magne did solo albums. But then we started recording the album last September.

- We have done that from day one. If we write together are usually two songs that we sew together into one - whatever works.

- What is the theme of this album?

- If I can say it with a line, then? I am certainly very happy with what is on this record. I think maybe the previous two sprikete was something in the material. Here it is more a red thread that runs through it all. The songs speak to each other. And this is the first time I've managed to write the lyrics together with the melody. I usually months to adapt the texts. There is a new wave. I really feel we have quite a lot to come by. Each song has its own face. We have managed to make it personal without excluding anyone.

with magne, We make demos. Some songs are played on acoustic guitar for Morten, and we get to hear how it sounds. And if he is keen to sing it or not. For I am often in Norway during the summer months, and when we had such a session and recorded six to seven demos. Who called whom I do not remember.

- There we were up on the good old standard. We have little to defend on that front. But the important thing is that we ended up somewhere where everyone is happy with what is on the album. That about at least.


- How was the recording?

- Two. The first draft was recorded in New York with Mark Saunders. It is the first time in a long time we have hired a studio for two months with a manufacturer. We did it old school, as in the first five albums. I think everyone liked. But then we were not quite finished. Saunders is a cool company that has made The Cure and a lot of cool music, but maybe not so much single thing. We felt that we had not first single ready. So the album was divided up between Steve Osborne who have made New Order, Star Sailor and Happy Mondays and Roland Spremberg that made "Minor Earth Major Sky" disc spring. The album is a mixture of the three manufacturers. Sluttgjøringsfasen was probably the most boring period. That left the producers in each country, Magne and Morten in Oslo, and I in New York. It was not ideal.

- On our way, yes. We do not have Lars Ulrich or James Hetfield. They have their own things to struggle with. But we beat them in arguments. Still, we played recently for all the radio people in England, and then it was one that said we have the world record for the trio that has held together the longest. - So now you are friends again?

- Can you describe Magne and Morten?

- Do you know the Stargate guys?

- Yes. It's a song on the album called "Shadow Side." I wrote the song for one of their artists, but then fell from the project, and it fit really really well since it worked so well with Morten. So without Stargate, I had not written the song. I am looking for such challenges, because I come up with things I otherwise would not have written. - Have you been involved there?

- Have you really written much for others?

- Not really.

- Have you thought about it?

- Yes. One gets a slightly different pressures. I go other places in myself and find other things. You know, I look at Tor Erik in Stargate, they pounded out a new song every day. I want to get me there. That not all songs have to take years and years to create.

- Tor Erik in Stargate is one of the biggest Prince fan, have you talked about the album you recorded in the Prince studio ?

- I have told him about it, yes. But I think he has been closer to Prince than we have been.

- I came across an old article about that Michael Jackson would like to work with you?

- Connaissez-vous les gars Stargate?

- Oui. C'est une chanson sur l'album appelé «face cachée». J'ai écrit la chanson pour un de leurs artistes, mais ont ensuite chuté à partir du projet, et le monter vraiment très bien car il a tellement bien fonctionné avec Morten. Donc, sans Stargate, je n'avais pas écrit la chanson. Je suis à la recherche de tels défis, parce que je viens avec des choses que je n'aurait autrement pas écrit.

- Tor Erik dans Stargate est l'un des plus grand fan de Prince, avez-vous parlé de l'album que vous avez enregistré dans le studio de Prince?
